Abstruse Goose

I just noticed something. If you append the phrase
“And not a single fuck was given that day” to the end
of Walt Whitman’s poems, they make a lot more sense.

Here’s an example I picked pseudo-randomly:

That coursing on, whate’er men’s speculations,
Amid the changing schools, theologies, philosophies,
Amid the bawling presentations new and old,
